A wrung out mop is pretty robust. I use one for pizza myself but agree other methods proposed are fine too.
The mop bucket tends to become a bit of a grey soup. Which becomes a backup breathalyser......If your mates is getting a bit drunk, fill up his empty glass from it and hold it in front of him......If he can't tell the difference or offers to drink it he should switch to water.

Thanks Damon Ill keep it in mind.
Im still curing my oven (small fires every day) and I've noticed a lot of moisture coming out out of the insulating base layer.at fist a small patch and over the last few days its gotten bigger to the point where its pushed moisture into the slab and now I think its fading. I just thought Id mention it as its something I didn't expect.

Hi Wayne looks great im in the process of building a corner oven also on exsisting concrete under a pergola was wondering how thick you concrete base is
