Agalmatolite Mortar

I live in Japan and the mortar that my supplier sold me is made from Agalmatolite stone that comes from china. It is commonly used for chinese stone carvings because it is so soft.

That is the problem, though. Being so soft means that it is barely strong enough to hold my bricks together.

has anyone had any experience using Agalmatolite mortar?

Need help.
