| I bought a mortar bag to fill the wedges between the bricks.... ...but I'm finding it does not work well because the mortar is too stiff....I hate to water it down too much but is that how you get it to work? anybody used those?

| Fingers Jim. And hands..... The cement usually removes a layer of skin, but my hands are as smooth as a baby's bottom.

| Jim - the grout bag is a godsend. I use it everyday, not just on the oven, but when I built all my stoops with paver's as well. Just cut the opening to the point where it flows (I think my opening is around 1/2 in.), I personally make the mix a bit thin, but I'm trying to force as much mortar down the brick as I can. Les...
