| Well, it's been a lot of work, see before and after pics below, but I have finally got my back yard to the point where we can use it for Christmas which was the goal. A lot of work to do yet to complete the whole project, but barring some smaller stuff the kitchen area is ready to go. Just need some shading (giant cantilever umbrella) and a chiminea for some warmth on those dodgy Melbourne weather days and nights. Still have to put my silly putting green in on the top level but that can be stage 2...... ![]() We have cooked in the oven quite a few times, some great pizzas and a few other things. Did my practice roast the other night to make sure I have it under control as I'm cooking for 30 at Christmas. The plan is to belt out a few different cuts of meat and all the roast veges, then fire the oven up a bit a little later so those that are interested can try their hands at pizza. All in all a fun project and a real transformation to my back yard. Merry Christmas everyone. Paul Last edited by paulyboy; 12-18-2009 at 11:29 AM. |

| I enjoyed your process as you documented it ![]() You are definitely a person with priorities....Don't know anyone else who has a putting green in their backyard with a pizza kitchen to serve great tastes while you rest between putts ![]() You should be proud of what you did and how it motivates those of us who are early in the building stage. |
