Yes they do. I take my twins to college tomorrow. The last of my brood. Feeling very sorry for myself...

Gosh Elisabeth, how many have you got?!

I'm sure you'll find plenty of interesting things to occupy yourself with when your twins leave... but I can imagine it must feel rather weird.

Jim, they're beautiful!
Elizabeth, take heart, one day you'll be in Jim's position, with grandchildren to dote on, and tomorrow's letting go will seem like it was only yesterday ...
Besides, I have to keep reassuring myself of that too, even though mine are still at home, since they aren't too far behind yours.

We have 6 between the two of us. Three boys (well, more like men now..) and three girls- ranging between 23 and 17. My oldest turned 21 last week! Still not ready for grandchildren.

Attempting to return to topic...

Jim's grandchildren are beautiful. So is the oven! So when DO they get pizza???

Update, 2009

I am really impressed with the insulating ability of the Perlite insulation layer I used. Almost no heat transfer...a day after the fire was started there is only abut a 10 degree rise in the thermocouple at the oven slab/hearth interface.

Now for some slow roasting!

But I do need to get a door...the temporary chipboard is like charcoal now!

Jim

Hey Jim,

Great to hear from you. How and where have you been? Are you heading back to Javea any time soon?

Glad to hear that your oven is humming along.
James
