Thanks for the info. Main use is for pizza. Bread will potentially be cooked there also, occasionally, but it is definitely being built for pizza. I'm going to start cutting and drilling lintels, wish me luck. Photos sometime this week.

Another thought with oven over fireplace. If you want fire in fireplace while having a pizza party...how comfortable will it be to stand in front of roaring fire coooking pizzas?

Boy, I wish you would have posted that last month!



The firebox has been started, and should be done by the weekend. Then to the hearth!

Seriously, it may take a little planning, but I'll just have to forego the fire in the fireplace, until the pizza's are done, or I'll make an extra-long peel!. Hopefully, I'll let you know how it works out by the middle of next month!

The brickwork looks very nice...you're going to have a beautiful structure once done.
