Thumbs up Re: Hi from Perth Australia

Welcome Maheel,
good to find another Ausie on board. Our numbers are on the increase.
You have come to the right forum for the best advice.
Are you planning to build an oven or merely brousing?
You have a few nights to view a multitude of ovens and ideas as well as how and what to cook in them.

Hi Neill

i have wanted to build for a while, and was thinking of getting started before summer comes along .

i was going to go with a brick arch (square end?) design but looking at some of the ideas on this sight may change that.

once i sort out the size i can get the foundations in to build on

cheers

Welcome!

I'm new myself, but the site is great!

And it does seem to become an addiction....

As I was filling concrete blocks today I kept thinking...... "Am I crazy!"

Still not sure yet...... I'll let you know when I'm done.

Hi Maheel et al

I'm also from Perth (Willetton) and I plan to build an oven into an existing limestone wall (the oven door will be in the wall, and the oven behind, out of sight. I'm wondering if that's the right thing to do, to save space, or should I make the dome a feature in itself, and build it where you can see the whole thing? Also, do you get any warmth from the oven (are they any good for heating a patio area?)

Anyway, this looks like a great site, so I look forward to the addiction.

Regards to all who read this, whereever you are.

John

Hey Maheel,

i'm in Melbourne welcome!

I built a tunnel (arched with squared ends). Much more simple to build but I think the dome design looks much better and apparently makes better pizza...
There is a mob in Perth that will sell you the entire kit for an oven full assembly is by you!

Enjoy the site - lot's of knowledge here.
