Default Curious about my number of posts and email notifications

I hadn't been on this forum for maybe 5 months and just recently got back on (I know, shame on me). I noticed today that under my name it says I've posted 9 times on at least 3 different posts. Very odd because as of last July 2007 I had posted 38 times, not that it really matters. I know I posted at least 50 or more times during my build. I just thought it strange. Also, I used to be notified on my email when someone responded to one of my posts but that doesn't happen anymore. Have I been kicked off the forum for lack of posts? What do I need to do to redeem myself? Karen

AH HA!!!!!!!!!!!! you've been using an alias. Are you running from the federallies?.....maybe a firebrick smuggler? Are the Italians wanting to question you about missing barrels of EVO or missing containers of San Marzano tomatoes?

If I admit what I'm hiding I'm going to have to change my name again. I hope no one ever tears up the concrete under my oven or finds what's in the cells of all the cinder blocks. Now that I think of it, I wish I had hidden something inside the cells besides the concrete bags. Did anyone create a time capsule inside theirs?

Thumbs up Re: Curious about my number of posts and email notifications

Hi Karen and welcome back!
why would someone wish to put a time capsule in under their oven in the cells of the cinder blocks?
I certainly don't want to dig or break mine up after building it and at the present ( all going well), I can remember anything that I might haver put in such a hiding place.
Anyway, when I die and someone digs it all up, I don't think that they would care much if at all.
Just have your connection to this forum and a reasonable photo album laying around to reming us all and our friends (who are maybe too lazy) or don't have our skills nor enthusiasm to build.

Yes of course! Doesn't everybody?! This is what I did (see Picasa Web Albums - carioca - Forno_del_gallo
or attached pic)

I put in CDs and DVDs containing family history, photographs, accounting data from my former consultancy, e-mails and so on - perhaps someone will find it a few generations on and puzzle about it. Perhaps museums will then still have the necessary hardware/software to make sense of it all;;;

I'm certainly not going to change my name because of this ;indiscretion' :-)

Cheers!

I've been away for a while but things seem to have got a bit metaphysical round here. What happened to concrete and pizza? Maybe we should have a forum - The Tao of Forno possibly .... or maybe that's this forum anyway
