RT, I totally agree with the character of Jim. He has made my life more enriched with advice on material and methods too. Jim, see you at 2k.

RT, Acoma,

Thanks a lot guys. I try to share what I know but keep my nose out of areas where I've got little to add. It's very satisfying to see, for example, members beginning with bread baking, having problems (like we all have), then solving them, one by one. In fact, it's a bit self serving, because trying to write down what I actually do helps clarify my methods to myself.

It really seems to me that the inherent courtesy in this forum has created an atmosphere that attracts people talented in many areas who are willing to share their knowledge because other members treat them exactly the same way: with respect. That is not the case with far too many sites, where ego and the "I'm better than you are" attitude rule.

Humm, 2K posts? I'll run out of stuff to say.

However, as a community, we should consider the idea of codifying the various threads. The way they're set up, they're like chapters in a book or manual, and a BIG one that's more general and far reaching than the ebooks currently are. Monster job, but worth thinking about.

Jim
