Hi all, yes I'm planning on building a dome brick oven. Yesterday I started to design it using autocad. I figured I can get a real accurate brick count plus the angles I'll need to get a real tight fit.

I CAD-built several ovens before I ever put mortar to brick. Welcome from another Jersey builder.

Funny.

I only use spreadsheets at work.

I wonder if Excel could do the job..........

A couple of hrs at my dining room table with a pencil, legal pad, ruler, and protractor. Then another hour or so laying out brick halves on my garage floor.
Overly simplistic to some, foolish to others for not utilizing modern technology; extremely gratifying to me......and not at all time consuming. I wish other aspects of the build had gone as quickly and smoothly.

Welcome and good luck!!!
