Hello from Albany, NY
So, I have spent a couple of days going through these forums and I have to say there is some fantastic info here. I actually did not land here specifically for pizza ovens, though when I finally get enough cash scraped to build my dreem kitchen, I was definately considering a brick oven.
I landed here in a more general seach of refractories as what I am really considering building in the short term is more along the lines of a smoker. Though I guess in a general sense it would be a charcoal/wood oven. I heard great things about kamados, but I m more of a DIY type guy, plust I think I may be able to build something a little larger and more versatile for a a fair amount less money.
I will start a thread in the "other ovens" section and lay out what I am thinking about doing and some questions I have.
