vermiculate vs cement

[its all in the base]

Hi all, I am a happy chappy at the moment just took my form work off and all seems ok, so thanks for all your help it was great. I have never done anything like this before so its just so cool to stand back and view what has just been done. I was chuffed as even after getting my form work up so thanks again.

P.S One thing i will say to others that are going to be doing this is i used a trowl and tapped on the top of the slab to get the cement up a couple of times say after 1 hour and again 1-2 after that. I think that was what i did not do enough of. Also if you are not happy with the way the vermiculate has gone off it is very easy to scape it up and do it again till u get it wright so thanks again
