Holey, Holey, Holey! That's a good looking peel. :)

What is the purpose/advantage of the holes?

There is a thread on here about holey peels, its supposed to leave less flour on the bottom of the pizza.

I looked at buying one but it was $180.

Nice peel Batman. That sounds a little funny, but don't take it the wrong way.

Nice job - I like the "hands" too. Good conversation starter.

Re: Holy Golden Peel Batman!!

Thanks Brickie, you just gave me an idea.
I have 2 of the monster aluminum peels (without holes) from GI Metals. I only attempted to use them once, finding them too large and requiring way to much flour to keep my pizzas from sticking. They have just been hanging on my rack for 4 yrs. I think I am going to sacrifice one of them; cut it down about 2 inches (paddle end), drill the holes, and cut the handle down at least 12". If it works out as a loading peal I will do the same to the other. No real harm done if I don't like them, they've just been $200 wall ornaments for the past 4 yrs.
