I can't reach the logs with my gloved hand so I use a simple garden tool. It's a simple four prong cultivator. It doesn't pick up the logs but does a great job wrangling the logs.

I saw it too...having rather selfish thoughts, I wasn't going to mention it on the forum until after the auction ended. I agree, the shipping is more than high, which may keep me away as well; even though I've been searching for exactly this item for months.
Jeff may have a good idea, steal the concept and make your own, may give it a shot myself.
