Cleaning up concrete after a long day of pouring

More super-novice questions. So you've been mixing and pouring concrete for several hours and you probably have concrete in lots of places that you would like to get cleaned up: gloves, wheelbarrow, hoe, rake, shovel, electric mixer, buckets, trowels, floats, etc.

You can't just rinse this stuff out on the lawn I imagine, and it must be difficult to put in the trash because by the time you rinse it down, it's 99% water.

What do people *do* with all that mess? I can easily lay out hundreds of square feet of plastic on the lawn to work on and get the tools clean, I'm not worried about the tools or resultant larger chunks of concrete, I'm mainly curious what to do with barrel-fulls of gray concrete sludgy water.

I know, this seems like a ridiculous question, but nevertheless, here it is.

Thanks.

It won't hurt the lawn if diluted with lots of water.

Yep, it's basically limestone, your lawn likes it if diluted.

I dump mine in the horse shoe pit. After it dries, it a pretty easy thing to shovel/rake and dump. Also, if you have extra concrete or mortar, set it on the dirt in shovel sizes (like cow pies), make for an easy clean as well.

I kept a hole about 2 feet deep,, drained into it and washed over it, Next day it would be absorbed,, filled it in with top soil and dug another hole if i needed it..

Worked great for me.
