Steak on the Tuscan Grill
One of the first things I have cooked using the oven. I am still making smallish curing fires. I let some good coals develop and raked them forward. Then I put the cast iron tuscan grill in the oven and threw the steaks on. I just had salt on the steaks they cooked very quickly to mid-rare (maybe about 7 minutes total?).
Very tasty with a nice sweet smoke flavor.
I have attached two images, one with flash, one without. You cannot really see much without the flash, but the glowing coals look cool.
How long did you allow the grill to heat up?
