Coudn't resist a little cooking during the curing fire!

Last night I reached my fourth curing fire--I figure I got that brick to about 500 degrees, but don't have my thermocouples installed yet. As the wood was almost consumed, I couldn't resist the temptation to throw some ribs in there. I took a whole rack of pork ribs, brushed them liberally with BBQ sauce and put that baby in some heavy aluminum foil and layed it for 45 minutes in the front center of the oven floor. There is only one word for what happened later:

Yum!!!

Congratulations Eric!

You are just days from having your oven ready for summer - which in my experience is glorious in Minnesota. I am sure you will have a busy, educational, and girth enhancing summer! :o)
