Been busy tonight, picked the ripe tomatoes from the garden and made a batch of tomato sauce for use with pizzas and lasagnas etc.
15lb mixed tomatoes
3 1/2 lb onions
2 lbs pepper/chillies
1 lb zuchini,
3 cups sugar,
3 cups vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoon cyanne pepper
Cut up and boiled with continuous stirring for 3 hours.
Made 13 jars of rather tasty sauce that leaves a rather warm(but not uncomfortable) after taste. Should be great as a pizza base.

PS The tomatoes, onions and peppers were all home grown, no artificial anything and organically grown to boot!

Lovely sauce! I can't wait to be able to do my own in about 6 months!

Good for you Neill! The end of season tomatoes are always the best! Organic and home grown as well. I'm impressed. It's great to live our winter months thru you folks down-under :D. -Dino
