Getting ready to place insulating blanket over dome. Couple things I am not real sure about.
1.After blanket in place I understand I put wire between blanket and vermic concrete? Is the wire shown in attachment appropriate for the job?
2.It must be a springy mess putting this layer of vermiculite concrete on.Does it help to start at either the top or bottom of dome.
3. I may have asked this question earlier....it it that important to do a skim clading coat of mortar over the intire oven INCLUDING THE ARCHWAY. I am running a little low on mortar now and most of the dome has half inch or so of cladding but not all of it. Is this step important just to add mass or is it also structurally important?...
