That part of the flue is pretty deeply buried in my oven, so I can't answer your question, the front stays pretty cool except right at the outer arch.

I like your full front chimney with the back roof configuration. What kind of shingles are you planning?

Thanks, I want to use the terra cotta round style roof tiles, but they are to expensive, so for now I am going to just use a imitation shake roof tile. but down the road if I can run across some I will change it out.

The chimmy will go up six total courses of brick and be capped off with red bullnose brick.

Well this is pretty much the finished oven!!! just capp the Chimmney, finish roof and install light above entrance

Well here is the finished oven minus a door. We cooked pizza in it last night and I have encluded a couple of photos. Thanks for all the advise along the way!!!!
