| I'm pretty sure you can pour both in the same day (most people on the forum have done this IIRC), just make sure that the vermiculite isn't going to leech any water from the concrete.

| That's going to be a fantastic outdoor kitchen. I would wait 2 or 3 hours for the countertop to firm up before pouring the vermic. Since the vermiculite will be saturated with water and portland, I don't think you will have a problem with the vermic leaching water from the concrete.
