I fired up the oven today and went to 800* to 850*. I have several hairline cracks in the dome. But I do have one that is .030 and one that is .040 of an inch gap. I hope they are not too serious.

Are those photos from the outside of the dome? If so, it looks just like my oven. I just insulated it and let er rip! Seriously, I think your good (although what do I know, I had my first big fire today!)

Yes it is the outside of the dome. My next fire will be the big one.

We have had some family issues to deal with.. I had to put it on the back burner, so to speak. I am getting a little work done on it now.
