Larry, Any updates? You're making me wait! After the nice brickwork, I really want to see this forno. Now I want to re-do my oven with brick. Are you happy? Signed, Jealous in N.Florida Joe

Hi Joe, I have done a little touch up work and electrical work on my oven. I also made a supporting arch behind the front arch. All the wood forms and rebar are also in place too. I have timed my second pour for next week. The company that I'm working for has put everybody on furlough for next week and it seem like a good way to keep out of trouble. I should have some new pictures end of next week. Larry

Hi James Thank You! The brick I'm using is old Chicago brick. It basically came from 2 different sources off of Craigslist. One guy was using them as paver's in a patio and the other had them in a small pile in his garage. I just couldn't resist the look and the price turned out to be less than half of new brick. Ciao Larry

I try to layout as much as I can on paper before I start working on each piece of the oven. This is how I drew the bottom of the oven. Big circles are always hard to draw accurately so I use some picture hanging wire and crimp connectors with a pencil. The wire works better than string because there's less stretch. I put a piece of flat wood under the center and nail one end through the paper into the wood. Once the pattern is cut I can use it to help me locate exactly where I want to place the oven and I can then transfer the lines to the top slab. I hope this helps anybody that has to draw big circles.
