| THanks everyone...now I know I have the right bricks. Can't wait to start working on the floor. Still worried about the "Motar Clay"- then I found this note on some fireplace website "You can mix heat resistant mortar yourself. Buy a bag of mortar clay (sometimes called fire clay) and mix that into the mortar mix. The bag will usually have a suggested ratio of cement, sand and clay." |
