10" Tile saw
 
Is this big enought to cut firebricks?

Yes.

Great for cutting bricks in half. Gets tricky if you want to taper bricks. It is possible but time consuming.

I used a 10" saw and used 3 tile blades for this oven, http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f21/...ven-14033.html
which has many many tapers to most bricks. Next time I will use a 12" or even 14" saw.

I built my oven with a 10 as well. Most of us, who built a brick oven, 95%, used a 10" saw. Others had the luxury of a 14", some others used 3" grinders and some even used only a chisel and hammer. HB you'll do fine with a 10 and unless you can find a real bargan on a 14 inch and the 10 isn't a huge bite out of your budget.
