| Dusty, it is not the size that matters

| Well, here's two photos taken tonight. They may have turned out better if it wasn't so dark - full moon though. dusty |

| Dusty, the dome is looking great. How long for each brick before the hold takes place for you?

| Dusty, looks good! But how much longer can you keep saying it's 4" tall?? Keep up the good work. Sarah |

| Acoma, I've been mixing the mortar a bit wet and soaking the next brick for a minute so I have a bit of time to tap them (squize out the extra mortar) and level each one. By the time I do all that, maybe a minute and a half or so, it is set enough to go to the next one. The angle is getting steeper though. I am not sure that will be the case today when I start the sixth course. I'll let you know. dusty Sarah, Just saw your post. I can't say 4" inches any longer. Suppose I should rename this thread, but it still seems to be a good conversation piece! It's now @15" tall and I'm heading out there now. Gunna try for 17 1/2" today. I'll keep you posted. dusty |

| Finished the sixth course yesterday and got my tools and bucket washed a full 10 minutes before we were to leave for the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert. Not a problem. Quick shower, clean duds, brush teeth, and still had a munite or two to spare. Took some photos today. Biggest problem was I mixed too much mortar. dusty |

| Nothing more frustrating than running out of mortar with a brick or two left to place. The cost of doing business, in my book. The dome's making great progress. You're dreaming about it at night, aren't you? I know, I know. It's all right...... Just don't tell anyone. George
