I'll nominate GJBingham's prior quote - "I want to die peacefully like my grandfather - not screaming like his passengers"

I nominate Frances, for the research and development prize, for testing the sand-and-fireclay-only mortar,

for scoping out an entirely new and better flue tile,

and for, presumably, doing it all "auf Deutsch".

I'd like to second Les' nomination, and also nominate Ken524 for his beautiful dome. How about two categories, one for a (virtually) mortarless dome, and one for a regular one?

I nominate ASUDaveW. His amazingly low cost dome and bumps & bruises surely qualify him for a 5-pack of pizza flour!
