Default Steel Stud Conststruction

All,

I've been looking into the finer details of steel stud construction for framing enclosures around FB ovens. Here's a useful link: Builders' Steel Stud Guide

It covers a lot of ground, including gauge specifics, fasteners and methods.

Before Jim posted that link, I was out searching for more steel stud data.

I found a good idea on the website below:

Using Steel Studs: About Steel Studs

When I was building my oven enclosure the screws would self feed in the first layer of metal before piercing the second layer resulting in a bent edge. It was a real pain.

In the link above they recommend using one of those widemouth vice grip clamps. I tried it for the wings to the left and right of the pizza oven and it worked like a champ. It saved me a few drops of blood as well.
