| I use newspapers all the time for starting my fires and it hasn't affected me yet. Since I live in south FL, I prefer to use dried palm fronds as starters as these burn like "napalm" like you said.

| There should be no concern for newspaper.The paper is consumed LONG before you start anything else and the fire will pretty much destroy anything organic and vaporize virtually anything that isn't long before you do pizza or bread! Jay |
