It sure could put a lot of smoke in the house...

Where is the chimney going to go?

It's not specifically a problem, particularly if the house wall is concrete block. The chimney would go up next to the house wall, and you would have to figure out how it goes through the eve, or roof overhang. Ovens that are a part of the house need to have building permits, and your building inspector will have the final say on what is allowed.

That picture gave me a thought.

Has anyone thought through an oven with two openings one inside and one out?

It would not be optimal performing, but with very good insulated doors seems like it could be done. I'm sure I'm glossing over the details.....

We installed a FB Casa oven so the opening is inside the kitchen. It's safe provided you do the insulation correctly. The only smoke we ever get in the house is when I start the oven and forget to crack open a window to get the draft going. (The chimney on the Casa is in the front.) Ours is different than what you've drawn because we enclosed the oven so you can't see it from the outside, but I don't see why it wouldn't work the way you drew it.

The hearth area can get very hot and you also need to think about the flooring for a few feet in front of the oven.
