Holding the log together with a bungee cord is actually a pretty good idea.

It would only work with girly man wood, it wouldnt work with Oz timbers where it takes 4 swipes just to split 1 little splinter off. :(

Neat idea but no use with the bulk of the Aussie wood - it's way too hard.

My wood has knots and grain that's not that straight. Then you always have that "Y" piece. So much fun to split.
