Thanks for the kind thoughts. Due to popular vote of the neighbors and wife, and reassurance that the oven's waterproof, I painted it today.

No more Pink Elephant. Now I call it the Great Pumpkin. Tomatoe Bisque in eggshell finish. Not my fav. but the wife and neighbors say it's better. Pics to follow in the near future. Tomorrow, another coat.

How about RCLake's documentation of the new curing process, his great dome (and bucking bronco pic) and of course the wonderful view on every single one of his updates...?

And I also think that wayne's cool copper door deserves a nomination.

Once again, we are going to have a whole bunch of REALLY good ovens to vote on... This is going to be very hard!

I nominate Acoma for his incredible work, ability to work in 2 foot snow drifts, and to finish with such a clean oven that you can eat ice cream on it Ah, had to try, right?

Hey Frances,

You can definitely vote for yourself -- but you only get to vote once; so you can't stuff the ballot box.

On the other hand, you can nominate yourself as many times as you want. :-)

I want to nominate Jim W for his great photo shaking the hand of the Tourism Minister. Looks like you were on TV as well. Way to go Jim!
