Christmas plan - opinions please??? And recipe help
So here goes
Christmas Eve light oven approx 4pm
cook - BBQ chicken rings and Chinese spare ribs .... may even try a chicken with a can of beer stuffed up its bum!
close door then get drunk with friends ......and later before I pass out for the night stagger down to the garden to add 2 lots of food to cook slowly over night.
Wild boar NEED RECIPES!!!!!! Not sure what cut it is but want to leave it in one piece
Pork with celery (mother-in-law and hubby's family won't eat turkey ... they're Greek)
Christmas morn - open door - gasp with pleasure at my magnificent pork/boar dishes ;)
Add a few logs to bring up temp.
Prepare turkey ...stuff with cheese/bacon/mushroom/bread stuffing. (Tastes better than it sounds)
Put tonnes of butter under turkey skin on breasts and totally wrap turkey in bacon - put turkey in oven and hopefully by 1pm - it should be cooked to perfection and resting!!!!
I don't want to leave the top off as the chickens I do in these pans always have a crispy skin
