I have been liking Daniel Leader's recipes lately and here's a picture of some Sourdough Rye loaves I made yesterday.
Bread Alone, page 128.
Sort of a bread celebration. We lost power during a storm recently and as luck would have it I was laid up in the hospital. Power was out for two days and my wife tossed everything out of the fridge, including my sourdough starter:(
As it turned out, she didn't clean the container, but left the inside with a coating of starter that dried out. Yes, after three weeks I scraped and mixed it with spring water and then later on mixed with some organic stone ground whole wheat flour into it. It came back:)
Also made the Pain Au Levain Sun-Dried Tomato and Herb, Pg. 196, along with some Focaccia, pg. 274, too. Of course there was pizza, too:)
