| Well thanks to the wealth of information on this site and others I managed to get my 2nd pizza oven built. New and improved version with better insulation properties and better looking facade as well. I was only able to upload 5 files so I could not get the remaining pics uploaded which show what it looks like almost completed. Remaining is finish coat of stucco and a roof overhead. Thx to all! |

| Thx. BTW, I forget if it was you who gave me the idea of using styrofoam vanes as a template for the dome. Worked well. It was a great idea. |

| i did indeed use the styro vanes on my project. did you point all of the mortar joints on the inside afterwards?

| I used my hands and fingers between the vanes to smooth out the mortar between the bricks as I went along. I tried as best I could to feel myself around and to make sure the faces of the bricks met as much as possible. It got tougher as I got near the top and it shows in my picture. I did repoint some of the joints near the top. I hope it stands up well. Still have not fired it up to cook in it, just little fires. Regards |
