The Italian pizza oven supplier landscape is large and incredibly competitive. Over 15,000 pizza ovens are sold every year by literally hundreds of producers. Our precast oven producer dominates. They sell around 10,000 ovens per year, have produced nearly a quarter million pizza ovens, hold over 50% market share, and continue to take market share from a group of second and third-tier suppliers. At the same time, there are only a few producers of handmade true brick pizza ovens. These producers make a small number of ovens, and typically only sell regionally. Most workshops are comprised of only one or two men who are keeping traditional brick oven craftsmanship alive.
The Italian market dynamic works to the advantage of the American consumer. By tapping into this highly efficient market, Forno Bravo can provide you with world-class pizza oven quality and selection -- at very reasonable prices. We have lived in Italy for many years, we have an Italian office, and travel there often so that we can bring this wonderful marketplace to you.
Refractory Pizza Ovens and Fireplaces
Located just south of Rome, our refractory oven producer has been making pizza ovens since 1977. They are the global leader in wood-fired ovens for both home and restaurants. In addition to being the dominant supplier of refractory ovens and fireplaces, they are also a leader in refractory technology, and produce RefMix, Italy's leading brand of refractory mortar. We first found the company years ago when living in Tuscany. We quickly found that their pizza ovens are sold by a high percentage of the garden centers and building supplies stores, and that they were highly recommended. After an excellent factory tour, we quickly concluded that they were the right supplier for the U.S. market.

Hand Made Brick Ovens for Homeowners
Our true brick pizza ovens are hand-made by Becuzzi Marcello in a workshop outside of Pisa. We first noticed these ovens at a number of building supplies stores in Tuscany, where they are often sold right next to our refractory ovens. We met with Sig. Marcello a number of times before deciding to sell and support his ovens. He is a gentleman who is dedicated to his craft, and says with pride that he knows how to make a free standing oven dome, without using internal supports -- like Brunelleschi's Duomo in Florence. Sadly, he doesn't allow anyone to actually watch him work. We finalized our decision to sell his ovens in the U.S. after a discussion with the manager of our local building supply store. He loves Sig. Marcello's ovens, and recommends them to all his customers.
Assembled Gas/Wood-Fired Commercial Pizza Ovens
Our producer of fully-assembled pizza ovens for pizzerias, restaurants, and bakeries is located Modena, in the heart of Italy's agricultural region. The company has been making ovens, and furnaces for firing tiles and ceramics, since 1969. Since that time, they have become well-known for their state-of-the-art pizza ovens. By combining the knowledge they have gained from decades of working with sophisticated high-heat refractory composites and insulators, with their local traditional for designing and manufacturing pizza ovens, they have become Italy's leading producer of wood and gas-fired ovens. From the baked enamel finish of their enclosure, to the quality of their refractories and insulators, they are Italy's highest-quality commercial pizza oven producer.
Pizza Peels and Oven Tools
Our producer is a family-owned manufacturing company that has specialized in pizza peels and pizza oven tools since the 1980s. Located just west of Florence, the company uses high-quality metals and woods, and state-of-the-art machinery to produce the world's best pizza tools for both restaurants and home-owners. Walk down the main street of virtually any Italian town or village, and go into the housewares store, and you are sure to find their pizza oven tools on display. As a sign of their commitment to the pizzaiolo, they sponsor the Squadra Nazionale Acrobati Pizzaioli (National Pizzaioli Acrobat Team) and the European Giropizza Pizzaioli Competition.
Terracotta Bakeware
Our terracotta bakeware producer is located just outside of San Gimignano in the heart of Tuscany. A family owned-business, they make wonderful bakeware designed specifically for wood-fired ovens. I will always remember trying to explain that I was looking for bakeware that would withstand brick oven temperatures, and how surprised they were that I did not already understand that this was exactly what they were known around Tuscany for producing. We work with both Paolo Lotti senior and junior -- Mr. Lotti junior has kids in high school.
