Dear Wood-Fired Oven Community Members,
Forno Bravo, LLC is sponsoring me for the Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge 2010 -- back-to-back marathon races in Boston and Big Sur; six days apart the week of April 19, 2010. Two coasts, two great races, and 52.4 miles. Our racing team is a recognized fund raiser for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, and we are helping them reach their mission of curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
Starting today, we will be offering "Team Reeves" versions of the Forno Bravo eBook Series for $10 each, and Forno Bravo will match all contributions. Of course the standard free version of each of our five eBooks will continue to be available. Forno Bravo has raised thousands of dollars for charity over the past few years, and we are excited about this new opportunity.
Want to donate more than $10? You can always order more than one Forno Bravo eBook.

On a personal note, I have been running for about one year (I took the 25 year off route to getting back into athletic shape), and I have run three marathons so far. I ran a Boston Qualifying time (you have to run a pretty fast time to be allowed to run the Boston Marathon -- 3:35:59 for my age group) in my second race, and I have a personal best time of 3:16:20. I can't think of anything better than sharing having turned 50 with 30,000+ of my closest friends. What do you think? Sub 3?

One last thing. If you would like to make a more substantial contribution to Team Reeves, please contact us at info@fornobravo.com. We are having a post race pizza party on April 26, 2010 for the runners, organizers, and major donors at our home in Pebble Beach, and we would love to meet you (and throw you a great Pizza Napoletana).

Thanks for all of your community support over the years, and thanks to everyone who backs this exciting adventure.
