Photo Galleries are back! Instructions below.

Dear forum users,
Thank you for your patience with the Photo galleries. We've got your galleries online!
We have finished writing a custom script to migrate the PhotoPlog to vBulletin5’s albums.

Unfortunately V-Bulletin killed the "Photoplogs" in their software upgrade which was unforeseen and we're the first development group to have written a script for getting the galleries back... that said, it took some time to reverse engineer the code and get the albums to move over seamlessly!

Forum users will be able to access their “PhotoPlog” images through their user profile page by clicking on the “Media” tab.
They will also be able to browse other albums by going to the albums page. (On the forum site, there is a link in the black bar beside “Forums” to the albums.)

In order for users to create an album please follow the steps below.
1) Go to user profile page and click “Media”
2) Click Add Photos
3) Enter Photo Gallery Title in the first field
4) Click Upload or Select from Photo Album to add photos
5) Click Post
6) Once posted, the album will be created as a “Topic” on the albums page for the public to see. The topic title will be the “Photo Gallery Title” they created before uploading their photos.

To create this migration path we used vBulletin5’s default album structure. Unfortunately, it won’t work like the “PhotoPlog” but is an album/gallery component on the forum now.

  • Theo from Little Ceasars - DEMO

    Hi All Perthites...

Just to let you know that Theo of Little Ceasars will be doing a woodfired pizza baking demo at Kitchen Warehouse, Osborne Park tomorrow - Sat, 10 April. I think it runs 10:00 - 12:00 but this needs to be checked.

Yes, I was in KW yesterday during my lunch break and noticed that they had plenty of pizza gear on special. One thing you may be interested in getting is the bargain price tomato pureeer. At $39 (down from $69). Couldn't believe my eyes and nearly bought one for doing a very quick batch of sauce when don't want to set up the KA attachment. Pizza stones kits were down to $9 which is also good value... shop till you drop on Monday!!!

            Update on this one...

I attended this morning and was quite impressed with the demo. It started with a dough making session (in a KA) and then proceeded with a shaping and ROLLING PIN activity. I was standing at the front so was made to ball and shape some dough. I cringed when the rolling pin was thrust into my hand and told to deal with the defenceless ball.

Anyway, the demo went on to "cook" some pre-baked pizzas from ceasars to the delight of attendees. I didn't actually try any but they looked a bit dry - an assertion supported by the fairly low dough hydration he had made. Someone in the audience said a similar thing. But, this guy knows what he is doing and definitely creates raphor with his audience. By all accounts he makes a mean pizza and he has a strong following, and the really nice thing is that he is prepared to share his knowledge with others. This is unusual for someone who has a commercial interest in maintaining secrecy.

So, overall a great experience and an enjoyable morning at Kitchen Warehouse. They had 50% off Circulon pans and I ended up struggling out of the shop with 2 new pans to add to my collection. Lifetime warranty and commercial grade so they should last a while!

I definitely recommend a visit to see Theo in action if he heads down to your neck of the woods.

PS - please excuse the poor quality pics - they were taken with the notoriously inferior camera on the iPhone.
