    Hello Everyone, My oven has been sitting for over a week and I plan on starting my first fire this weekend. I attached a couple pics of the opening going into the dome. Should I cut those few bricks on top to make it square or does it even matter? I thought I read a post or comment that it may be a problem getting the smoke into the chimney. thanks!

      Relax, try several very small fires for a week to 10 days to get the oven dried out. I think the brick will be fine but if you need to cut it it can be done later. Try it out first.

      You took the shots with your camera sideways I bet.

        You have steel inside the heat zone, expect a catastrophic disaster.
