I have a idea to use Marble and / or Granite as bricks to build my entire oven.
I have acumaleted almost enouth of both to use either one or both together.
What do you guys with a bit of experience think?

I plan to use the lighter marble, becoase its lighter and easier to cut and handle, its rather good at withstanding high temperatures, and it looks marvelous. It contain huge amounts of silica witch is good for conductivity and heat absorbing qualitys.

I have already cutted a bit of both and saw the mortar sticks well to it.
I think it will work marvelous. Brick sizes about 20 X 20 cm and 2.5 or 3 cm thick.

    Anyone tried this maybe?

Granite and marble will work, but both crack when heated to temps a WFO will produce and will not last very long. Soapstone is the only stone recommended for an oven. If you can acquire firebricks, that would be much better than marble or granite. If you cannot acquire firebricks, maybe you could build a cobb oven made of clay. Good luck!

Marble will turn to dust very quickly in a WFO.

        Thank you for the warning!
It would have been lots of work going to waste.

Granite and Marble is usually intended for kitchen interiors to make it look elegant but I think not a good thing to use it for oven and I do agree what GianniFocaccia says.
