  • repair terracotta oven

During my move back to the states, my terracotta honeycomb style oven sustained damage to the wall. This oven was purchased in Portugal and the walls are approximately 3/4 inch thick. The hole is irregular with the dimensions on 3" x 5" but the surrounding structure is intact.

What is the best method and material to repair this hole? There are local kilns that may be available to fire if indicated.

I don't have alot of hope for the repair, but I don't have much experience here. You might call Ardvaark clay and supply in Santa Ana, 714) 541-4157 and ask. Good luck to you and your oven.
