  • Hi from Connecticut,usa

    Hi everyone,
My name is Jeff, I'm a mason contractor from eastern CT. I have searched forums few months ago to find details on building an oven. I have just finished the oven and would like to share pics of it.
The design was drawn up by the homeowner who is a local carpenter contractor. He built the wood framed roof for the fireplace and oven structure.

After completion i have already another costumer( a friend of the homeowner) who wants the same design built at his house. Hopefully starting soon.
I would like to hear your thoughs and ideas of the design. Any thoughts to make next one better?

some reason its not letting me attach a pic so will do soon as i can.

Welcome to FB. What part of eastern CT? I used to get great fieldstone from walls in Danielson and Pomfret a long time ago.

I'm from the other side...Goshen. Back when I was in highway and bridge construction, I went to the Union training school in the winter for some extra certs. Your area reminded me a lot of mine, but with less hills.
