Forgive me James for I'm a sinner... - Forno Bravo Forum: The Wood-Fired Oven Community

Announcement

New Forno Bravo Forum Feature

Forno Bravo Forum Community,

You will notice a new forum at the top of the main page called, "Ask Me Anything". This forum will be used for live one hour "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) sessions hosted by people who are knowledgeable in different areas pertaining to wood fired ovens. How it works:
- Each AMA will have a "sticky" thread where the community can post questions they would like answered during the live session. This will allow everyone to participate even if you can't be online for the live session. These questions will not be answered by the host until the live AMA; if you need an answer quickly, you should post it in the appropriate Forum area for the community to respond.
- Another thread will be posted for the live AMA. Registered users who are logged in during the live session can interact with the host by asking questions and receiving responses.
- The live thread will remain in the AMA forum to view after the session.

To kick off our AMA feature, we have invited author, chef and master bread maker and host of Pizza Quest, Peter Reinhart, to be our first host! Peter will be in the Forum on Monday, February 15th, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm EST. If you are unable to be online during the live session, you can post your questions in the sticky post. Peter will answer those questions during the live session on February 15th. You can view Peter's answers to your questions as well as what happened during the live session in the session thread.

We hope you enjoy this new feature! Please let us know if there is a topic that you'd like to have as an AMA and we'll look for a host!

Yes James, I've found other chatrooms.....

I guess it's part of the WFO separation anxiety disorder I've developed after letting my spanish oven cool down.....

I've now been chatting about boats and time shares with others...oh, the shame of it.

Now there is hope....I have been doing my wood fired paellas to keep the smoke fix....did one on the shores of Lake Huron...(with temporary masonary walls and hearth)......doing another one this week for the deer hunters (first time)....and I had some fine lamb shanks last night......made me think about that fine spanish lamb and my oven.....

So Yes, in January I will reunite with the long lost oven and post the lamb shanks recipe....mmm good!

And maybe some more good stuff!

    Salut
    XJ

Visions of a wood-fired oven at a Spanish villa. Not too bad.

Jim, are you looking forward to getting back? Of course we are all looking forward to your being there and posting recipes and photos once more.

How are the grandkids, and how was your summer? I guess trading your oven for a sailboat half the year is OK. We've been back in California for about 3 months, and are seriously missing Italy. Still, our daughters are enjoying their schools and doing well -- which is what it's all about.

        Welcome back Jim.

I, too, have a confession - I already have a forum. This is just one of those things - I saw this forum across a crowded Internet and the attraction was instantaneous... But I'm already spoken for...

I hope you don't think less of me...

Forum polygamy? Shouldn't there be a law against this?

Me and my other forum are separated right now. I started seeing this one about 4 months ago, and so the relationship I had with the other suffered to the point that I haven't seen it in almost two months.

Do you get a scarlet "A" on your virtual forehead? Too funny.
