I'm Peter Reinhart! Ask Me Anything! Monday, February 15, 2016 7:00-8:00 pm EST

To kick off our AMA feature, we have invited author, chef and master bread maker and host of Pizza Quest, Peter Reinhart, to be our first host! Peter will be in the Forum on Monday, February 15th, from 7:00 - 8:00 pm EST. If you are unable to be online during the live session, you can post your questions in the sticky post. Peter will answer those questions during the live session on February 15th. You can view Peter's answers to your questions as well as what happened during the live session in the session thread.

Ask Me Anything New Forum Feature

You will notice a new forum at the top of the main page called, "Ask Me Anything". This forum will be used for live one hour "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) sessions hosted by people who are knowledgeable in different areas pertaining to wood fired ovens. How it works:
- Each AMA will have a "sticky" thread where the community can post questions they would like answered during the live session. This will allow everyone to participate even if you can't be online for the live session. These questions will not be answered by the host until the live AMA; if you need an answer quickly, you should post it in the appropriate Forum area for the community to respond.
- Another thread will be posted for the live AMA. Registered users who are logged in during the live session can interact with the host by asking questions and receiving responses.
- The live thread will remain in the AMA forum to view after the session.

We hope you enjoy this new feature! Please let us know if there is a topic that you'd like to have as an AMA and we'll look for a host!

    I am pretty sure I saw this on another thread but here it is anyway. Use regular dough mix. Break chocolate bar in little pieces and sprinkle on dough. Put into over, when almost done pull out and add small mellows. Put back in till mellows turn brown. Fantastic. I had some kids over from my track team, they loved it.

      No graham crackers, my wife and all the kids couldnt believe how good it was. Still like the regular smores but this is a great change!!!

          Great idea! We do something like this with those "pudgy-pie" makers that you can put in a camp fire. Two slices of bread with marshmallow and chocolate in between, in the fire until toasty. The kids really go for it, but you have to have a very sweet tooth!

              I remember cherries between bread and do the same thing when I was a kid. Tried it a while back and there is a big difference in the cast iron ones from the 60s to the aluminum stuff today.

                We just did this on the fouth. We sprinkled a little cinnamon and sugar on the crust first then added the chocolate. We found it's best to cook the "smore" pizza without the marshmallows first, we then added the marshmallows at the end so they don't burn.

                      Sorry, I do not have a picture. It acually looks very good, marshmellows get nice and dark but not black, the taste is really great. Everyone loves it after a long day of eating pizza and drinking some beer. Make sure you use Hershey bars not any other chocolate. Use good marshmellows also, the cheap ones seem to burn quicker.

                        When I cooked mine, I found some Tia Maria choc sauce, so I used that. I rolled out the base (dont normally do that, but I wanted it very thin and crispy..almost like a biscut), put the choc sauce all over the base. I then added the white and pink marshmellows all over and in it went. You need to watch the pizza cook, and when the marsmellows start to melt...they spread all over the choc sause base! Just as they start to brown...pull it out and dust with icing sugar. Fan bloody tastic!!!

                          The Tia Maria sauce sounds unreal. I also highly recommend berries (frozen raspberries in particular) on top of the chocolate and then topped with marshmallows. Really good!
